Kennedy’s Back in Time Farm is located in the northern tip of McMinn County in the Sewee Community. It has been in the Simpson-Kennedy family for 125 years. It is now a fifth generation farm owned and operated by Ted and Winona Kennedy Pless. The barn on winch the quilt square is displayed is a historical building. The center of the barn was the original Sewee School which was located at the crossroads beside the nearby Sewee Church of God. The land for school and the church cemetery was donated by Winona’s great-grandfather, Joseph Simpson. They later purchased the school later when it was closed. It was placed at its current location and extensions were built on each side. For years it was used as a Tobacco barn and the school portion was used to store grain.

Junglebrook Farm II was named for the owners’ great-grandfather’s farm in the Great Smoky Mountains. The owner accredits her grandmother, Frances Ogle Mellinger, the inspiration to learn quilting.
Rose of Sharon was a popular Pre-Civil War pattern. It was one of the finest and only used on special occasions. There are several variations of the pattern . This was also the owner's first applique. The Quilt Block was painted by Rick Love.

The Owner pick Jacob Ladder not only because of its biblical significance, but also for personal significance. The square is in Memory of her son Jacob Alexander Buckner, who was killed in a car accident. She wanted the quilt square green, because it was his favorite color.
The Unknown quilt pattern was found among her grandmother's quilts. Zena Walker Roach was an avid Quilter and really liked applique.
