MAIN INFORMATION
The Gouldy Farm at Caney Creek Road was owned by Arthur and Ida Gouldy and daughter Mary E. Gray. After the death of Arthur and Ida's three year old son, Ida became very depressed. Her husband took her and Mary to the Chicago World's Fair of 1933 in an effort to cheer her, and she entered a quilt in the contest there. While there, she saw the lovely French Bouquet and loved it so much that she came home and quilted it.
