MAIN INFORMATION

This barn was originally built by Cas Woods in 1942 and later sold to the Catletts. The beautiful red barn is the property of James Wilcox, and has recently been repainted and landscaped. The family knows the square as Wade's Bow Tie as it was made for Wade as a baby by his grandmother. Wade tragically died at 26 months old before he could enjoy it, so it has great sentimental value to the family. The original quilt was passed down to Janie Catlett and has been preserved since that time. The square was made, painted and hung by the Greenback Historical Society, Inc., a non-profit organization.
