Bledsoe County, Tennessee
Bledsoe County has a long and interesting history. The county was created by the Tennessee State Legislature in 1807 from part of Roane County. This was the 33rd county created in the state.
Settlers moved into the Sequatchie Valley soon after the treaty with the Indians was signed, ceding the first part of the valley to the state of Tennessee in 1805. Bledsoe county is the northernmost county of the beautifulSequatchie Valley.Advanced search results
