Located at the start of Cherohala Skyway, this trail stop along the Appalachian Quilt Trail is part of Monroe County, Tennessee within the East TN region.

Stop by the Cherohala Skyway Visitor Center in Tellico Plains for free maps of the Skyway and the Cherokee National Forest, Skyway driving conditions and local area souvenirs and gifts. The Visitor Center displays the AQT quilt block, "Crossed Paws".

The Cherohala Skyway has 15 scenic overlooks and the trip across the skyway takes approximately 2 hours, 25 miles long in Tennessee and 19 miles long in North Carolina.
