Finchum Farm
This farm has been in the family since the Depression. The quilt square was placed in honor of the tradition of quilting in the family and its quilters.
Holland Residence
The pattern is based on a quilt that the Holland son had as a baby.
Kramer Residence
The homestead was built sometime before the Civil War and has since been restored. The quilt pattern is based off of a family quilt and is on the barn near the house.
Loy Farm
The pattern represents the geese that fly over the river near the barn. The farm is located in the Sweet Gum bend of the Holston River and has been in the family for years.
Parrott Family
This barn was built after the turn of the century. Legend has it that when the settlers came through, the strawberry plants were so thick that the legs of their horses were red.
Parrott Residence
The square is located on the small house behind the main home. The residence overlooks the Holston River and the railroad bridge that was fought over in the civil war.
Rush Strong School
Painted by the art teacher and students at the school in the school colors. The design includes finger prints of each student.
