            <description><![CDATA[<p>Tipton County was established in 1823 and was formed from land from Shelby County. It was named after Captain Jacob Tipton, who was killed while leading a charge of his troops against a force of Indians near Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1791.</p>]]></description>
